Mapecem can be used in the preparation of both floating and bonded screeds on existing and new slabs for the
installation of wood, PVC, Linoleum, Ceramic tiles, Carpeting, or any other flooring where fast-drying is required for minimum downtime.
When mixed with graded aggregates and water, Mapecem has the capacity to harden in just a few hour and perfectly dry at whatever thickness within 24 hours. Mapecem is not to be mixed with other cements.
All substrates are suitable for receiving a Mapecem screed as long as they are not subject to rising damp. If substrates are subject to rising damp, it must be treated with a suitable membrane.
MAPEI Mapecem is sold in 20Kg bags.
Mapefill GP is for grouting voids in structural elements such as patching up honeycombs in concrete, filling gaps in precast elements and grouting base plates and bridge bearings.
It can be used for anchoring mechanical equipment or steel bars, filling rigid joints between elements in concrete and precast concrete structures.
Mapefill GP is a pre-blended powdered grout based on high strength cement, graded aggregates with 1mm diameter and special additives with an expansive agent formulated by the MAPEI research laboratories
When mixed with water Mapefill GP is a highly fluid grout without segregation that is able to fill intricate spaces.
It has excellent permeability to water, excellent adhesion to iron and concrete, resistance to mechanical stress.
Mapefill GP is available in 25kg bags and yields approx. 13-14 litres of grout.
Mapelay is a fibreglass-reinforced PVC waterproofing and isolating sheet, for internal laying of resilient and carpet flooring on cracked or particularly dirty or damp substrates or substrates subject to rising damp. Temporary protection of floors that could be damaged by heavy pedestrian traffic. It is 1.2 mm thick and is available in rolls 25m long x 2m wide.
Mapeproof One Coat is a two-component, single-coat epoxy surface damp proof membrane for controlling residual, static and construction moisture in cementitious substrates. For use on cementitious sub floors with residual static or construction moisture levels of above 75% and below 97% relative humidity on sub floors with an effective structural damp proof membrane prior to the installation of resilient floor coverings for resilient, textile and wood flooring finishes.
Mapeproof One Coat can be used with underfloor heating systems provided the system has been fully commissioned. It is cured by mixing the two components before applying to the prepared and surface dry sub floor. It should be applied, ensuring that it is well worked in to the substrate so that complete coverage is achieved.
Mapeproof One Coat is not recommended for heated sub floors where wood floor coverings are to be installed.
Mapesil AC is a one component, acetic-crosslinking, solvent free silicone sealant. It is mildew-resistant with low modulus of elasticity, available in 30 colours and transparent.
Its uses include sealing joints in walls, joints between sinks, sanitary ware and tiles, sealing expansion joints and air ducts. It is thixotropic paste which is easily trowellable both horizontally and vertically. 310 ml cartridge
After having used a bonding enhancer, Primer FD can be used on concrete, wood, metal, painted surfaces, plastic and rubber. 100 g/m2
Mapesil LM is a neutral mould-resistant silicone sealant with very low emission level of volatile organic compounds (VOC) for stone and marble. It is a solvent free sealant with a low modulus of elasticity specifically formulated for sealing all materials sensitive to acids and plasticising agents, marble, granite, sandstone and quartz due to its chemical nature which deters surface bleeding or the migration of plasticising agents which would otherwise stain the substrate.
It is easy to apply in vertical and horizontal surfaces and cures at room temperature. It is suitable for delicate material such as bricks, cellular concrete and varnished or enamelled wood. Forms an excellent bond on non-absorbent substrates such as glass, ceramic, clinker, enamelled surfaces, water and solvent based varnishes, metals and various types of plastics. It is extremely stable over time, even when exposed to water, inclement weather, industrial environments & temperature changes of between -40o C and +150oC and therefore is very effective in swimming pools.
Sold in 310ml Cartridges.
Polymer modified cement based finished render coat for both internal and external applications. Can be used on walls or ceilings and provides enhanced thermal insulation as well as quick drying times in cold conditions. Coverage between 2.5 – 3.0 kg per m2.
Mapei Planitop Mineral 2mm – as for Mapei Planitop Mineral 1.5mm but with the larger 2mm grain size.
This is a dehumidifying and insulating render suitable for both internal as well as external projects. Ideal for dealing with rising dampness in basements as well as buildings close to the sea, it is highly resistant to most salts. Suitable for old buildings where original mortars were used. Coverage is approximately 10 – 11.5kg per cm thickness.
